Few news for today. It can be both good and bad news. Depends on how you and I see it.
Firstly, I got my universities letters. Letter I mean. I recieved my NTU letter yesterday stating that I got into Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Checked online today and NUS website showed something like this.
You have been offered
Electrical Eng in academic year 2010 - 2011.
The details of the offer will be stated in the offer letter.
Your letter of offer was sent on 30-Apr-2008.
Please reply at the Joint Acceptance website by 02-Jun-2008.
Yup, it can be both good and bad. Good part is that I got into university at last. The course offered was in my application list and I have a choice between NTU and NUS.
The bad part is that I got rejected totally by both Business schools. ('my father still wan me get double degree -.-" ')
Well, I'm confused on whether to be disappointed or glad. Electrical Engineering is not that bad, but I feel that my interest in Electronics and Engineering is fading. How? I still got a few more chances to apply again though.
Second news is that I finally recieved my Police Posting. Many people in my squad got into Police Coast Guard. But I'm not one of them. I got NPCO(Neighbourhood Police Centre Officer). PCG was my ideal choice. PCG got the highest pay and slackest job. Moreover, you learn much more in areas that you may never get to learn. The sea side experiences and maybe even a steersman license. I got into NPCO and I will probably get a Driving license. But the problem is, I'm already almost complete with my own driving course! My practical test will be on 16th may!
This also means that I wasted $1800 on my driving course when the police department is giving it free to me! Furthermore, PCG gets about $100 more every month. Which makes up $2000 for 20 months. Zzz.. NPCO posting is not a bad post, just that thinking on the financial side, i lost.
Or maybe "grass is always greener on the other side", thus I think PCG is better, and also thats why I think Business is better.
